Community Life at New Day is an expression of the relationships within our body. We live this out in a variety of expressions as diverse as our congregation. There are programs and avenues to get connected, but we believe the best way to find community is to open up your home and schedule to spend time building relationships. To the extent that we as individuals and families pursue one another is the extent to which community life is realized at New Day.

Jesus started Christianity with twelve friends, and it is our firm belief that our faith is expressed and lived in the context of relationship. None of Jesus’ teachings make any sense outside of living life in community. Therefore, it is our acknowledgement that the living stones only find meaning when they are joined together into a beautiful temple where Jesus Christ resides as central.

how to participate

New Day seeks to live out the New Testament expression of church where members play a role in being church. Serving the body of Christ fulfills teaching in the New Testament on church life as well as unites us in our passions and purpose. Below are some of the many ways in which you can serve the body.

  • children's ministry

Kingdom Kids is run by an extraordinary team of volunteers from the New Day body. We would love for you to join in this ministry and there are a variety of ways to serve. To find the right fit for you, please contact our children's ministry coordinator, Noelle Davis at 816-510-8498 or

  • youth ministry

Our young people are an important part of the New Day family. If you are a young adult and have a desire to serve the high school youth, this may be an option for you. Discipleship, mentoring, and quality time is a huge part of our ministry. If this is something that interests you, please contact Noelle Davis at

  • Worship and media team

If you have musical interests and skills - either on an instrument or vocally - you could potentially help lead the New Day family in worship on Sundays or in other worship settings.  Our services could not take place without the faithful work of our Media Team. From running the sound board to operating Media Shout, these services are essential to our meetings and events. If you are interested in finding out more about this ministry, contact Michael Brymer at

  • hospitality team

Our Usher team helps create an environment of hospitality by greeting church members and they arrive on Sunday mornings.  The Cafe team provides a good cup of coffee that acts as a social gathering point where relationships new and old can grow. If you want to get involved in either of these areas, please contact our service coordinator, Brenda Rindels.

Our Information Center helps people feel welcome and answers any questions they might have on Sunday mornings. If you are available to help with this valuable ministry, please contact Kathy Ervin.

Come pray with the New Day church family and staff Thursday mornings 8:30 - 9:30 am in Lloyd's office. This is a great way to start your morning. We begin with worship and then pray for our church and community. Hope to see you here!

Baptism fulfills Christ's command and is practiced by His disciples. When a believer is immersed in baptism, it signifies their union with Jesus in His death and resurrection. We love to celebrate this decision and affirm it by making it part of our service. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact Lloyd Rindels at
